Past Affiliations: Post-Doctoral Research Associate, Department of Biological Sciences, IISER-Mohali; India. Project Assistant-III, CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh, India. Ph.D. (Computational Biology & Bioinformatics), CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh, India

Research:  Dr. Monga's primary research interest is in predictive modeling using machine-learning and biological database designing in the area of human genetic disorders using the high-throughput experimental datasets and healthcare data. She has developed prediction pipelines for the genome-wide identification of microRNAs and piRNAs in her graduate research work.

In the Christiano lab, Dr. Monga is developing a comprehensive database for the maintenance and hosting of alopecia areata data. Further, she is also part of the team currently investigating how the alternations in the immune landscape affect the overall course of AA pathogenesis with the help of in-house single-cell transcriptomic data.

Interests: In her free time, Dr. Monga loves to bake cookies for her son, and participate in his craftwork and funny puzzle activities.
