Research: As a member of the microbiome team, Alexa’s thesis research focuses on investigating the role of microbiome dysbiosis in Alopecia Areata pathogenesis and identifying pathogens that contribute using bioinformatic approaches. Alexa is also a member of the genomics team and works on fine mapping genetic variants that contribute to disease.
Fun Fact: Alexa enjoys playing and watching sports, baking, and playing with her pet turtle.
