Research: As a translational medicine fellow Dr. Uwakwe is a key member of the scarring and non-scarring alopecia translational and biomarkers projects and human microbiome research. She also assists in clinical collections of atopic dermatitis, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, and psoriasis patients for translational projects.
Interests: Dr. Uwakwe enjoys mentoring students at her former inner-city high school, playing tennis, a good sci-fi novel, and binge-watching Judy Judy.
